Boogie World Meeting 2017
As one of the newest members of the Boogie Skydiving Logbook team, I wanted to get to know everyone better and stake my commitment to our endeavor. I made a simple suggestion: Let’s all gather in one place to collaborate on Boogie.
This year, Boogie hosted our first “Boogie World Meeting”! The team united in the great state of Iowa for this event. ! As a distributed team , it was an excellent opportunity to hang out, plan, and develop the next generation of a skydiving logbook.
Team Gear
Upon arriving, one of the co-founders, Jason had prepared hand-made Boogie T-shirts for everyone as shown in the group photo. In stereotypical startup style, all the shirts were spray painted in his driveway to give each one a unique touch.
Our primary goal: ship Boogie on iOS Prior to the world meeting, the team had made good progress on Boogie for iOS, however, this had been a painfully unmarked to-do item.. We knew we needed to complete this task, so the majority of our development time went toward this effort. We completed our iOS checklist, worked out bugs that arose, and submitted Boogie to the iOS App Store for review.
Since then it’s been available for download on the store and is getting great feedback from our users.
Website Updates
At the same time, we added a few finishing touch to our new website and deployed it to production.
It was an exciting moment as we could all celebrate theses achievements together with class: Cupcakes and champagne.
Boogie Innovation
We also spent some time discussing future innovation of Boogie as a platform. It’s no secret that our purpose as a company is to enrich people’s lives by making skydiving more accessible and enjoyable. To do so, we are hard at work finding ways to improve the logbook experience.
We are committed to high quality which is why the new features take some time to make it’s way to our awesome users like you.
The team is motivated in driving forward the skydiving logging experience.
We also like to hear from you! If you have any questions, ideas, concerns or even praise to give us, we welcome them and read them all at feedback@boogie.io.
